Job description

POSITION SUMMARY

The Infrastructure & Security Engineer is a key technical role on DSIโ€™s IT team, responsible for the hands-on execution of infrastructure operations and cybersecurity defense across a multi-warehouse logistics environment. You will also contribute to desktop engineering and participate in the teamโ€™s rotating helpdesk coverageโ€”areas shared across the IT group, not carried solo.ย DSIโ€™s IT team operates a structured Lean IT model that protects dedicated deep-focus time for infrastructure and security project work every day, while maintaining responsive, customer-facing support during scheduled rotation blocks. You wonโ€™t be context-switching constantlyโ€”the model ensures you have the space to do meaningful work.ย The ideal candidate brings strong systems and networking fundamentals, a security-aware mindset, and the willingness to grow into areas where they donโ€™t yet have deep expertise. We invest in our people through mentorship and a team culture that values learning over perfection.

WHY DSI?

This isnโ€™t a ticket factory. DSIโ€™s IT team operates a structured Lean model that gives you protected time for deep infrastructure and security work every single day. Youโ€™ll own real projectsโ€”not just put out fires. Support rotations and facility walks keep you connected to the business so your project work is grounded in what you see on the ground.

Weโ€™re looking for someone strong in at least one disciplineโ€”infrastructure or securityโ€”with the drive to grow in the other. DSI supports that growth with structured mentorship, dedicated learning time, and a team culture that values development over perfection. If youโ€™ve outgrown a pure sysadmin role, or youโ€™re a security-minded engineer who wants to own infrastructure tooโ€”within a lean, high-trust team without the bureaucracy of a large enterpriseโ€”we should talk.
