Position Summary

The Floor Supervisor is responsible for monitoring the daily operations of the poker room, ensuring a seamless and efficient gaming experience for guests and team members alike. This role will manage room operations, overall game flow, resolve player disputes, enforce house rules, and maintain a safe environment. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills are essential for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise all aspects of poker room operations, ensuring adherence to Texas Card House policies.
  • Manage a team of dealers, including dealer rotation, training, performance evaluations, and conflict resolution.
  • Conduct floor audits and maintain accurate cash control procedures.
  • Resolve player disputes and rule infractions with professionalism and diplomacy.
  • Oversee the efficient seating of players and game distribution.
  • Maintain a safe and secure gaming environment by identifying and addressing suspicious activity.
  • Monitor player behavior and enforce all card house policies.
  • Collaborate with the Cash Cage and Supervisors on financial transactions.
  • Assist with marketing and promoting upcoming events and tournaments.
  • Generate detailed reports on daily operations and game performance.
  • Enforce game rules and maintain a fair and controlled game environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the General Manager.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 1 year of Management experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of Dealer experience in the casino or poker industry (Required).
  • In-depth knowledge of Texas Hold'em poker rules, game variations, and casino operations.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, delegate, and coach a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively manage players, dealers, and supervisors.
  • Proven ability to multi-task, prioritize tasks, and work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Impeccable attention to detail and ability to follow established procedures and regulations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on customer satisfaction.
  • Ability to stand for long periods and navigate a crowded environment.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Work Environment:

  • Casino gaming environment with noise, bright lights, and high-energy atmosphere.

Physical Requirements:

  • Mobility: Ability to stand or sit for extended periods and move around the poker room to supervise operations, assist players, and manage dealers.
  • Dexterity: Ability to shuffle, deal cards, handle chips, and perform precise actions during card games.
  • Vision: Ability to observe player actions, monitor gameplay, read cards and chips, and identify rule violations or suspicious behavior in various lighting conditions.
  • Hearing: Ability to hear player conversations, dealer communications, and table activity in a noisy casino environment to address disputes and ensure smooth gameplay.
  • Communication: Clear verbal and non-verbal communication skills to interact with players, dealers, and staff, provide instructions, resolve disputes, and manage the poker room.
  • Endurance: Ability to maintain focus and multitask throughout long shifts, overseeing both the floor operations and dealing duties.
  • Lifting: Ability to carry up to 10 pounds (e.g., chips, card trays, paperwork) when necessary for operations.
  • Environment: Ability to work in a dynamic, noisy, and crowded casino floor environment, with exposure to fluctuating noise levels, lighting, and temperatures.
