Job description

Salary: 20-25

K&T Security is seeking reliable and professional individuals with a DC SPO license to join our team as a [Late Night Security Guard] for multiple restaurants near the Adam Morgan area in Washington, D.C. The hours for this position range from 5 PM to 4 AM. As an Unarmed SPO you will be primarily responsible for crowd control, ensuring the safety and security of our clients and their patrons, and escorting problematic individuals out without physical confrontation. Security in previous restaurant environments are strongly encouraged to apply.


Responsibilities:

  • Provide excellent customer service to clients and their patrons
  • Greet and check IDs of customers while enforcing Restaurant Policies of entry
  • Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of customers, employees, visitors, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain the security of the premises.
  • Monitor access or flow of people to prevent problems.
  • Prevent unauthorized individuals from entering restricted areas.
  • Operate detecting devices to screen individuals and prevent the passage of prohibited articles into restricted areas.
  • Protect against and respond to theft, vandalism, and illegal entry by performing security duties as required.
  • Wear PPE/safety equipment as required for the job.
  • Report any safety hazards and/or accidents to supervisor.


Job Requirements:

  • Previous experience in late night security is preferred.
  • DC security experience and licensing preferred.
  • Must have reliable transportation or metro access.
  • Must own an Android or iPhone and be able to access designated web sites/apps used for Officer site location and clock in/out capability.
  • Be able to communicate effectively, be aware of your surroundings at all times, as well as look and be professional.
  • Wear all-black, professional clothing and the provided uniform while on duty.[Blazer, Slacks, etc.]
  • All candidates are subject to a comprehensive background check.


Duties and Expectations:

In addition to the specific responsibilities mentioned above, our \Officers are expected to perform a range of duties to maintain a safe and secure environment. These duties include, but are not limited to:

  1. Emergency Response:Respond promptly to emergency situations, including fire alarms, medical incidents, and security breaches. Follow established protocols for emergency response and ensure the safety of all individuals on the premises.
  2. Patrol and Surveillance:Conduct regular patrols to identify and address potential security risks. Keep a vigilant eye on the property to deter unauthorized access and suspicious activities.
  3. Access Control:Monitor and control access points, ensuring that only authorized individuals are granted entry. Verify identification and credentials as necessary.
  4. Incident Reporting:Accurately document all incidents and activities in incident reports and logbooks. Include details of any security breaches, irregularities, and violations of policies and procedures.
  5. Customer Service:Maintain a professional and approachable demeanor when interacting with clients, employees, and visitors. Provide assistance and directions as needed and address any security-related concerns or inquiries.
  6. First Aid and Basic Medical Assistance:Provide basic first aid and medical assistance in the event of injuries or medical emergencies until professional medical personnel arrive.
  7. Adherence to Policies and Procedures:Strictly adhere to company security policies, procedures, and guidelines. Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
  8. Equipment Operation:Operate security equipment, such as radios, CCTV systems, and alarm systems, effectively and report any malfunctions promptly.
  9. Team Collaboration:Work collaboratively with other security team members and local law enforcement, if necessary, to ensure a coordinated and effective response to security incidents.
  10. Maintain a Safe Environment:Identify and report potential safety hazards or security concerns and take appropriate actions to rectify or mitigate these risks.


Physical Requirements:

Candidates for this position should be physically fit and able to stand for extended periods. They should also possess the ability to remain alert and focused during overnight shifts.
