Job description

Job Duties: Associate, Data Analytics BI with Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC in Salt Lake City, Utah. Develop business intelligence solutions using capabilities such as Alteryx, SQL, Tableau, and Python. Provide end-to-end reporting and self-service analytics tools which produce a variety of key metrics related to Fees and Commissions Operations, Front to Back Trade Lifecycle, Departmental Throughput, and Client Performance in relation to Goldman Sachs' global markets trading activities. Build and streamline ETL processes which integrate Global Markets data platforms. Manage business intelligence product SDLC within globally distributed Alteryx and Tableau server environments. Develop, prioritize, and communicate project plans end-to-end using JIRA; mentor junior developers on Agile development; facilitate project progress as the scrum master. Provide mentorship and feedback to junior team members while managing competing priorities from a wide range of senior stakeholders. Program manage multiple books of work with a variety of stakeholders throughout Operations, Technology, and Sales and Trading; ensure projects are delivered on time and end users are aware of potential project blockers. Identify, document, and improve existing processes to maximize efficiency in constantly evolving environments. Provide analysis, design strategies for strategic projects and drive end-to-end project delivery.

Job Requirements: Bachelor's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Software or Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Information Systems, or a related field and three (3) years of experience in job offered or in a related role. Prior work experience must include three (3) years with: software Development Lifecycle utilizing globally distributed Alteryx Server and Tableau Server platforms; project management oversight to gather and build requirements with end users for the development of automated engineering or BI built solutions; developing and maintaining ETL processes using advanced Alteryx functionality, including macros, analytic apps, and reporting data transform tools; developing and maintaining high-performance databases using advanced SQL (subqueries, window functions, and data design language) and experience with data architecture and administration; developing and maintaining high-performance dashboards using advanced Tableau (level of detail functions, context filters, and data blending) and experience with data visualization best practices (use of pre-attentive attributes, and storytelling); and JIRA project management tools, including core functions such as Epics, Stories, Tasks, and Story Points.
