Responsibilities

  • Maintain, repair, install and fabricate plan equipment
  • Troubleshoot equipment problems
  • Read blueprints and schematic drawings to perform work procedures
  • Grind parts
  • Weld parts
  • Other duties as assigned
  • May fight fires at incipient phase
  • Attend all safety and crew meetings
  • Data entry on Dynastar for various scheduling, planning and maintenance reports

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Willing and able to work overtime, weekends, on-call, and holidays
  • Experience with reading blueprints and precision measurements
  • Troubleshooting experience
  • Experience using a computer for record keeping and documentation - Using a Work Order System
  • Able to work in extreme heat/cold, navigate catwalks and ladders - physical ability to perform the essential physical functions of the position, which includes climbing stairs, navigating catwalks, lifting up to 50 pounds, stooping and bending
  • Ability to communicate effectively and constructively
  • Comprehension of complex work instructions and documentation
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts in an industrial environment
  • Basic trade skills in industrial equipment repair and execution of routine preventative maintenance of heavy industrial equipment
  • Knowledge of and ability to weld
  • Machinist training and experience
  • Stable employment history with a minimum two years of experience in Industrial Maintenance work OR equivalent education to include vocation/technical school certificate
  • A personal and total commitment to observe all safety rules and regulations
  • Knowledge of bearing installment, coupling, belts, sprockets and chain drive installations
  • Knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems
  • Basic knowledge of metal fabrication
  • Basic knowledge of cylinder repair
  • Working knowledge of basic industrial electricity issues
  • Must be willing to keep up with mechanical advancements
  • Performs other duties as assigned
