Senior Software Engineer Opportunity At Striveworks

Striveworks is a leader in Machine Learning Operations for highly regulated industries such as the Department of Defense/U.S. Military. They enable their customers to extract actionable insight from their data at the point of collection and indefinitely in the future with the help of AI/Machine Learning. The product they offer allows their clients to monitor, manage, integrate, visualize, export, and analyze their data to inform decisions and streamline business.

They are looking to double the team that they have currently of about 60 employees over the next year. They are a startup, and this is a very unique opportunity to join the team in their fastest growing stages.

Location: Austin, TX and NYC (two openings)

Salary: 200K-275K

Bonus: annual and performance based

Position Summary

As a Senior Software Engineer at Striveworks, you'll be challenged - and trusted - on day one to be a core contributor to the projects and direction of the company. You will be helping to develop data storage and streaming features, tooling, and automation for their next generation MLOps platform. You will be rapidly prototyping and delivering proofs of concept for customers. You will work alongside a team of Data Scientists to integrate their work into functional products.

Requirements
  • 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Proficiency with Python (most important) and Golang
  • Strong SQL skills
  • Comfortability with Docker and Kubernetes
  • Expertise in database design and architecture: relational, document, embedding, graph
Nice To Haves
  • Typescript experience
  • Experience with public (AWS, GCP, Azure) and/or private (OpenStack) clouds
  • Hadoop, Hive, or Spark experience
  • Knowledge of batch and stream processing systems (Flyte, Airflow, Flink)
