Requirements:
  • High School Diploma
  • 1-3 years closely related experience; experience in a clinical setting or in behavioral health is preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Must have strong proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word and data entry programs
Description:
The basic function of the Administrative Assistant is to provide efficient and effective data management and organizational support.
  • Consistently demonstrates support as part of the team to meet departmental goals and objectives
  • Demonstrates good judgment in making decisions, seeks direction from supervisor as needed, and refers to agency policy and procedures for guidance with decision making.
  • Accurately obtains and tracks required data.
  • Compiles and enters Quality Improvement data on a monthly basis
  • Types and distributes agency correspondence and reports accurately, with good appearance and promptly.
  • Screens telephone calls including maintenance of tracking spreadsheet regarding referral disposition.
  • Records and distributes monthly meeting minutes
  • Assists with preparation and implementation of monthly meetings.
  • Maintains centralized calendar for programmatic staff and Psychiatrists.
  • Assists therapists and case managers with necessary paperwork for Medicaid billing purposes.
  • Effectively organizes workload, using priorities to schedule and meet deadlines.
  • Maintains files and reports in an organized manner.
  • Interacts with customers effectively verbally and nonverbally to promote consumer satisfaction.
  • Identifies and focuses on meeting the needs of all customers.
  • Adheres to agency and departmental policies and procedures.
  • Assists the program director in developing and maintaining program rules and regulations.
  • Completes projects and reports as requested by supervisor according to specified guidelines and in a timely manner.
  • Consistently maintains confidentiality of all records.
  • Uses computer programs efficiently to perform job responsibilities.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of the disaster and safety plans.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.

Physical Demands:
The employee will be required to talk, hear and see; ability to manipulate objects with hands/fingers.
