Job description

Position Summary:
Under the general supervision of Neff Senior Management, assumes responsibility for the coordination of daily branch activities, working closely with customer service, warehouse, value add, applications and technical support managers and supervisors to ensure efficient and effective use of human and physical resources, and the development and implementation of branch policies and procedures. Participates in the setting and ongoing review of branch performance goals.
Organizational Relationship and Scope:
• Directly reports to Neff Senior Management.
• This position is supervisory.
• Work and communicate professionally with all staff, customers, and vendors.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Works with Managers and Supervisors to develop and evaluate pricing policies, identify common industry best practices, project staffing needs and contribute to the development of Branch goals and objectives.
• Analyzes and continually improves Branch Procedures and Practices. Participates in the development of Branch budget/forecasts. Develops statistical reports that reflect individual and group performance.
• Works with Neff Purchasing and Product Managers to insure adequate, efficient and effective Product Inventory Levels.
• Working with the Warehouse Supervisor and Value Add Team, ensures profitable and timely completion of Value Add Projects, including cost estimation, scheduling and assembly.
• Reviews OPS measurables for significance and relevance to Branch operations. Communicates recommendations to Neff's Comp Committee and Controller. Coaches Supervisors on employee performance issues; coordinates disciplinary actions and participates in employee disciplinary meetings.
• Supports Neff's Quality objectives, implementing Quality Procedures and Practices.
• Hold a valid driver's license and the ability to drive a passenger vehicle without restrictions to meet position requirements
WORKING CONDITIONS
The employee will be in an office setting and routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
This position requires frequent travel to Neff office locations under their supervision. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is primarily in climate controlled settings but may be exposed to wet and/or humid hot and/or cold conditions, moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, and outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, ear protection is provided when needed.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
• A Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Psychology, Communication, or Organizational Development would be advantageous with strong, demonstrated mechanical/technical aptitude or other related field.
• 3-5 years of distributorship and/or managerial work experience.
• A working knowledge of Prelude, with proficiency in Excel, Outlook, and Word.
• Leadership ability to motivate and guide management and staff.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
• Ability to read, analyze, and interprets technical procedures, and product information in English.
• Ability to write reports and business correspondence.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to mathematical equations to determine quantity, price, discounts, etc.
REASONING ABILITY
• The interpersonal skills needed to effectively communicate policies, procedures, and practices to managers/supervisors and employees.
• Analytical ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Mechanical aptitude and technical ability to engineer solutions and assist with the design of systems to meet customer needs.OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
• The analytical and creative ability to contribute to the development and evaluation of branch standards, goals, and objectives to prepare reports and interpret policies, procedures, and practices.
• Excellent organizational skills needed to develop strategic (problem) solutions and coordinate project work and develop and prepare documentation/reports.
• Computer literacy is strongly preferred.
• Ability to initiate, maintain, and develop relationships.
• Persuasive/closing ability.
• Strong customer focus.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; talk or hear. The employee is required to use hands to touch, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit and stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus.
