Job description

As the Engineering Specialist -Energy Recovery Unit, you will oversee and guide shift personnel in the operation of the ERU kiln and associated systems. This role is critical in ensuring the safety of all team members and maintaining efficient material handling, inventory control, incineration, and steam generation processes. Additionally, you will be a technical resource for the team, resolve conflicts, and ensure adherence to ERU policies.
You will be onsite at the Circleville, OH plant and will report to the Manager Energy Recovery Unit. PPG offers excellent Medical, Dental, & Vision Benefits; matching 401k + retirement savings; and Paid Vacation, Holiday pay.
This will be a rotational shift schedule.
Responsibilities:
  • Manage shift personnel to ensure safe and efficient operations of the ERU kiln and related systems.
  • Oversee material handling, inventory control, incineration, and steam generation processes.
  • Implement ERU policies, resolve conflicts, and provide leadership to the shift team.
  • Be the technical resource to support ERU personnel.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and operational standards.

Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Boiler operator's license from the State of Ohio (or ability to obtain).
  • 1 to 3 years of supervisory experience in plant maintenance, production, or related fields.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
