The Managing Director is responsible for the leadership, growth, and performance of Hobbs Madison. This role sets strategic direction, drives revenue, oversees client delivery, and ensures operational excellence across the firm. This position partners with executive leadership to define priorities, build scalable infrastructure, and position the company for long term profitability and market relevance.
This leader is accountable for financial performance, client satisfaction, business development, and brand reputation. They will ensure the organization delivers high quality consulting services to financial institutions while maintaining disciplined operations, strong culture, and sustainable growth. Success in this role requires strong financial acumen, strategic thinking, and the ability to scale a consulting organization with structure and accountability. This is a full-time, remote role with occasional travel required for client meetings, industry events, and relationship development.
Key Responsibilities
  • Define and execute Hobbs Madison's strategic vision
  • Lead business development efforts and maintain executive client relationships
  • Drive revenue growth and margin performance
  • Oversee pipeline management and revenue forecasting
  • Ensure high quality consulting delivery and client satisfaction
  • Monitor project performance, utilization, and resource allocation
  • Own P and L performance and budget accountability
  • Review financial reporting and key performance metrics
  • Implement scalable processes across operations and delivery
  • Develop and retain high performing leaders, consultants and subject matter experts
  • Strengthen brand presence and industry positioning
  • Manage risk, compliance, and contractual oversight
Requirements
  • 10+ years of Director level experience in a consulting environment for financial services, including Banks, Credit Unions, Investment Firms and Insurance Firms
  • Proven experience managing full P and L responsibility
  • Demonstrated success in business development and revenue growth
  • Experience leading and scaling teams
  • Strong financial acumen and performance management skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or related field required; MBA is a plus.
