Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer

Role: Manufacturing Engineer - NPI & Sustaining
As a Manufacturing Engineer at PacSci EMC, you will be at the forefront of launching new products and driving process innovation for advanced aerospace and defense systems. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless transitions from design to production, optimize manufacturing processes, and uphold the highest standards of quality and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
  • Support New Product Introduction (NPI) activities, including process development, pilot builds, and production ramp-up.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues on existing product lines through root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and statistical process control (SPC) methodologies.
  • Maintain and update process documentation (SOPs, PFMEAs, control plans) and create work instructions for both sustaining and NPI activities.
  • Implement and monitor quality assurance protocols to ensure compliance with industry and customer standards.
  • Collaborate with R&D, Design Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Test Engineering to resolve production issues and improve product reliability.
  • Interface with suppliers to resolve process-related issues and support component qualification.
  • Educate and train operators and technicians on new processes and equipment.
  • Ensure adherence to environmental, safety, and industry regulations.

What You Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, preferably in aerospace/defense.
  • Proven expertise in NPI, lean manufacturing, and SPC.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills (8D, Fishbone, DMAIC).
  • Experience with ERP and PLM systems (SAP, Oracle, Agile).
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.
  • Willingness and ability to travel domestically up to 75% during the first 90 days.

Preferred Skills
  • Experience with precision instrumentation or test and measurement equipment.
  • Knowledge of low-noise, high-bandwidth electronics manufacturing.
  • Hands-on experience with process automation, fixture design, and CAD tools (SolidWorks).
