Pay Range: $21.61 - $30.53 per hour

Summary:
The Development Associate, Fund Management & Systems will provide support for the planning and execution of stewardship, fund Management, gift records and management, and data, systems, and reporting activities in collaboration with other team members. The Development Associate will be a highly collaborative colleague, with a strong inclination towards and aptitude for open communication across multiple teams within the Office of Philanthropy. The Development Associate will learn and support all phases of philanthropy, including cultivation and stewardship activities, as well as working with the data that supports these efforts.
This position reports to the Executive Director, Fund Management & Systems. The person holding this position will exemplify the Rush mission, vision and values and will act in accordance with Rush policies and procedures.

Required Job Qualifications:
•A bachelor’s degree, ideally in communications, marketing, English, or fundraising major. Two years’ professional work experience a plus.
•Excellent working knowledge of Outlook and Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Adobe Acrobat.
•Ability to effectively manage large amounts of data, mailing lists, and giving information.
•Ability to manage multiple projects and collaborate effectively in a team environment.
•Excellent verbal, grammar, and writing skills; pro-active and resourceful nature.
•Commitment to quality and timeliness in all aspects of work; strong organizational skills; and pride and ownership in work products.

Responsibilities:
•Produce and mail donor gift acknowledgement letters.
•Update and draft templated letters and other inter-personal communications as needed.
•Serve as a resource and manager of the impact reporting process, including data pulls, project management, obtaining signatures, and managing hard copy mailings.
•Research donor information online and in hard files.
•Manage and execute the pledge reminder process and year-end tax receipt mailing.
•Implement public recognition plans, with a focus on donor recognition walls and plaques.
•Manage donor recognition across campus as a GiftMap power user.
•Assist in the successful completion of at least two endowed faculty investitures per calendar year.
•Track stewardship completed projects and contact notes in CRM.
•Update Stewardee/Beneficiary Module in CRM.
•Support the Assoc. Dir., Stewardship in the filing of completed donor gift agreements using Agiloft.
•Monitor and route messages received to the Stewardship email box.
•Compile research and MOR patient files using PowerBI reports, and other resources as requested.
•Verify entity information and format files for data uploads.
•Respond to donor intent inquiries by referencing purpose statements in the CRM.
•Locate and retrieve physical donor or fund files stored in the office file stacks, as needed.
•Pull fund balance and activity transaction reports upon request. If there are questions or concerns regarding specific financial data, escalate to the appropriate finance contact or supervisor.
