Job description

Position Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior IT Network Engineer to drive reliability, scalability, and performance across our hybrid infrastructure. This role plays a critical part in shaping our onpremises and cloud network connectivity, requiring a strong blend of modern SRE practices and deep expertise in traditional networking technologies.

The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with a strong technical foundation who can design, implement, and optimize secure, scalable, and resilient network and cloud connectivity solutions. Leveraging extensive experience with Cisco, Palo Alto, Azure, and other public cloud platforms, this individual will help drive innovation, operational excellence, and long-term architectural alignment.

As a senior engineer, you will serve as a trusted technical advisor and leader, collaborating closely with architects, security teams, and infrastructure operations to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions that support organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive engineering initiatives to improve system reliability, availability, scalability, and performance across hybrid environments (onpremises and cloud).
  • Design and architect secure, highperformance traditional and cloud-based network solutions, including switches, routers, firewalls, load balancers, and VPNs.
  • Lead the design, architecture, and deployment of complex network and cloud connectivity projects using technologies such as Cisco, Palo Alto, Azure, AWS, and OCI.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive network and cloud architecture documentation.
  • Collaborate with infrastructure, network, application, and security teams to ensure seamless integration and operational excellence.
  • Perform network and cloud infrastructure assessments and provide actionable recommendations for improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, security best practices, and organizational policies.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex network and cloud infrastructure issues.
  • Define and implement standards and processes for the design, standardization, and optimization of cloud services across the organization.
  • Design, implement, and maintain monitoring, alerting, and observability solutions for critical infrastructure and applications.
  • Identify opportunities for automation and drive the automation of operational tasks.
  • Stay current with emerging trends and advancements in networking, cloud, and security technologies.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in Network Infrastructure, Site Reliability Engineering, or Cloud Network Engineering roles.
  • Strong expertise in traditional onpremises networking technologies (e.g., Cisco, Palo Alto, Juniper, F5).
  • Deep understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs, BGP, OSPF, and network security principles.
  • Extensive hands-on experience with Cisco networking technologies, including routers, switches, firewalls, network protocols, and Cisco ISE.
  • Proven experience designing and supporting hybrid cloud network architectures.
  • Proficiency with at least one major cloud platform (Azure, AWS, or OCI), with strong networking and security experience.
  • Experience with network monitoring, automation, and orchestration tools.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain complex technical concepts to engineers, peers, and leadership.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced experience with Microsoft Azure networking and security services.
  • Experience implementing SRE principles within network or infrastructure environments.
  • Hands-on experience with infrastructure automation and scripting.
  • Familiarity with multi-cloud networking strategies and architectures.
  • Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CCNP/CCIE, Azure Network Engineer, AWS Advanced Networking).
  • Experience contributing to enterprise architecture or long-term technology roadmaps.
