Information Technology Specialist

Job Summary

The Information Technology Specialist will support the IT Officer in maintaining and enhancing the organization’s technology infrastructure. This position works closely with the Managed IT Service Provider to assist with hardware and software installations, system administration, maintenance, and daily network operations, including LAN, WAN, and wireless environments. The ideal candidate should also be familiar, comfortable, and knowledgeable with emerging Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies and their practical applications in the workplace.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot computer systems, printers, scanners, and related technology equipment.
  • Assist with software installations, application updates, and system maintenance.
  • Support the administration and operation of the organization’s network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, and wireless systems.
  • Provide technical support by responding to help desk tickets, support calls, and emails related to computer systems and communication technologies.
  • Set up and support Commercial Banking customers using Remote Deposit Capture services.
  • Track and maintain IT inventory, equipment, and technology assets.
  • Assist in evaluating and implementing new technologies, including AI-driven tools and solutions.
  • Participate in annual Business Continuity Testing and disaster recovery preparedness activities.
  • Assist with website updates and maintenance as needed.
  • Collaborate with the IT Officer and Managed IT Service Provider on technology projects and daily operational tasks.
  • Stay informed on emerging technology trends, including Artificial Intelligence (AI), cybersecurity, and automation tools that may improve operational efficiency.
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications Preferred

  • Experience supporting computer hardware, software, and network systems.
  • Familiarity with Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools, platforms, and workplace applications.
  • Strong troubleshooting and customer service skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
