Position Overview: We are seeking a motivated Commercial Planned Maintenance Sales Representative to support and grow our customer base in the Twin Cities market. This role focuses on developing and maintaining long-term client relationships through the promotion and sale of preventative maintenance agreements for mechanical systems.
The ideal candidate will take a proactive, relationship-driven approach-helping customers protect their assets, reduce downtime, and improve system performance-while supporting Ellingson's continued growth and reputation for quality, integrity, and service excellence.
Key Responsibilities: The Commercial Planned Maintenance Sales Representative builds and maintains strong relationships with commercial customers while identifying and selling preventative maintenance agreements. This role actively pursues new business opportunities and grows existing accounts through consistent communication, service follow-up, and a solutions-based approach.
Responsibilities include preparing proposals, managing opportunities within the CRM system, and collaborating with service and operations teams to ensure seamless delivery and customer satisfaction. The role also monitors contract renewals, identifies upsell opportunities, and tracks sales performance while meeting established goals.
Key Qualifications:
  • Strong customer acquisition of new customers by means of cold calling, email and other strategic methods
  • Good customer service and relationship-building skills
  • 3+ years of experience in commercial HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or service-related sales (or equivalent field experience)
  • Understanding of preventative maintenance programs and service agreements
  • Results-driven with strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities
  • Ability to identify customer needs and develop value-driven solutions
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
