Work Description:

· Hone will be 25-50% of your week and CNC machining will be the remainder.

· Read blueprints and other drawings to ensure products are sized and otherwise machined and/or honed correctly.

· Prepare CNC machines and/or hone for operation by loading necessary tools, fixtures, and materials. Set up machine parameters, including tool offsets, work coordinates, and cutting paths, according to engineering drawings and instructions.

· Minor modifications to programming with assistance from programmer/engineering based on designs and specifications. Optimize programs for efficiency and accuracy, considering tool paths, cutting speeds, and feed rates.

· Operate CNC machinery and/or hone to produce parts and components with precision and consistency. Monitor machine operations, adjusting as necessary to ensure quality and adherence to specifications.

· Update information in manufacturing software regarding job data and inventory.

· Inspect finished parts for defects and ensure they meet quality standards and dimensional tolerances. Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to verify part dimensions.

· Perform routine maintenance on CNC machines and/or hone to ensure optimal performance and prevent downtime. Clean and lubricate machine components, replace worn or damaged tooling, and troubleshoot mechanical issues as needed.

· Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while operating machinery and handling materials. Take proactive measures to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and others.

· Maintain accurate records of production output, material usage, and equipment maintenance activities.

· Maintain accurate records of production activities, including setup sheets, program revisions, and inspection reports. Document any issues or deviations from standard procedures for future reference.

Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications:

· High school degree or GED equivalent.

· Hone experience is a plus.

· Advanced knowledge of CNC machining.

· Ability to interpret blueprints and instructional drawings.

· Mechanical skills/aptitude and ability to use precision gages/tools.

· Comprehension of machine tolerance.

· Basic math and computer skills required.

· Ability to multi-task and maintain excellent attention to detail.

· 3-5 years of related manufacturing experience.


Physical Demands:

· Ability to lift and carry up to 70 lbs. majority of workday.

· Ability to stand and/or walk over majority of workday.

· Ability to use fine motor skills (hands and fingers) up to majority of workday.

· Ability to hear.

· Other physical activity may include reaching, climbing, stooping, bending, kneeling, pushing and/or pulling.

· Requires close, distance, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
