Their goal is to build strong, long-lasting relationships that benefit both the client and the company.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Client Representative, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Client Representative, you need strong interpersonal communication, problem-solving abilities, and a background in customer service or a related field. Familiarity with CRM software, call center systems, and basic office applications is typically required. Exceptional listening skills, patience, and adaptability help build trust and effectively address client concerns. These skills are essential for maintaining client satisfaction, fostering long-term relationships, and supporting business growth.

How does a Client Representative typically collaborate with internal teams to address client needs?

Client Representatives act as the main point of contact between clients and the company, often working closely with internal teams such as sales, product development, and customer support. They relay client feedback, coordinate solutions for issues, and ensure that deliverables meet client expectations. Effective collaboration involves regular meetings, clear communication, and a proactive approach to problem-solving, which not only helps in quickly resolving client concerns but also strengthens long-term business relationships.

  • Manage multiple communication queues, including phones, chat, portal messages, service requests, and tasks.

  • Assist clients with navigating the NDTCO client portal and website, including login support, updating contact or payment information, and completing investment-related forms.

  • Identify trends, recurring issues, and opportunities for workflow improvements and report them to leadership.

  • Collaborate with business systems and internal teams to troubleshoot, escalate, and resolve portal or website-related issues.

  • Support internal teams by prioritizing and escalating client requests as needed to ensure service level expectations are met.

  • Uphold NDTCOโ€™s commitment to professionalism, confidentiality, and high-quality client service at all times.

Required Skills & Abilities
  • Strong ability to guide clients through secure login processes and online account navigation.

  • Proven ability to calm and de-escalate frustrated or upset clients using empathy, active listening, and clear communication.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a professional and client-centered tone.

  • High typing proficiency and ability to efficiently document interactions while multitasking.

  • Strong phone presence with the ability to manage multiple screens and systems simultaneously.

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced call center environment.

  • Demonstrated professionalism, reliability, and strong work ethic.

  • Ability to handle highly confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
