We believe pet insurance is more than a financial product and build solutions to simplify the pet parenting journey and help improve the well-being of pets. As a leading authority in the pet category, we operate with a full stack of resources, capital, and services to support pet parents. We build cloud-native platforms that power automation, real-time decisioning, and trusted data exchange across the pet healthcare ecosystem. Our engineering culture emphasizes strong domain ownership, modern architecture, and tight alignment between Product, Architecture, and Engineering.

The Role

We are looking for two Senior Business Analysts who will also serve as Product Owners within our Agile teams. You will act as the bridge between our global business stakeholders and our technical development teams.

  • Manage and prioritize the product backlog to ensure the team is always working on the highest-value features.

  • Proactively use AI-driven tools to accelerate the creation of comprehensive user stories, initial mockups, and test plans, ensuring high velocity without sacrificing quality.

  • Lead Agile ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Backlog Grooming, and Sprint Reviews.

  • Deep understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies. Proven experience writing high-quality user stories using management tools like Jira or Azure DevOps (ADO).

  • Comfortable using Generative AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Copilot) to draft documentation, generate test scenarios, and visualize concepts. You should view AI as a partner in your workflow, not a replacement.

  • Technical Aptitude: Experience working on backend platforms, API integrations, or data-driven products within cloud environments (Azure preferred).

  • Data Literacy: You don't need to code, but you must be comfortable discussing data mapping, system logic, and integration flows involving modern data tools (e.g., Azure Data Factory, Databricks, or SQL).

  • Be located in the greater Chicago area and willing to work 2 days/week (Tues/Thurs) onsite in our downtown office.

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Haves)

  • Previous experience in Animal Health, Veterinary Technology, or Insurance.

  • Familiarity with veterinary practice management software or insurance policy administration systems.

  • Understanding of data privacy, compliance, or financial transaction workflows.

Why Join Us?
