The company is currently hiring a Chief Engineer.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for hiring, terminating, training and supervising engineering staff.
  • Perform daily inspection of physical grounds and equipment.
  • Responsible for scheduling employees including; monitoring hours worked, overtime and timekeeping relative to engineering department budget.
  • Conduct employee evaluations to ensure maximum employee efficiency.
  • Implement and oversee all major grounds projects.
  • Outline yearly departmental budget including the purchases and inventory of stock and parts.
  • Manage day-to-day staffing requirements, plan and assign work and establish performance and development goals for team members. Provide mentoring, coaching and regular feedback to help manage conflict and improve team member performance.
  • Educate and train all team members in compliance with national and local laws and safety regulations. Ensure staff is properly trained and has the tools and equipment to carry out job duties.
  • Ensure a safe and secure environment for guests and team members in compliance with regulatory policies and procedures. Maintain relations with outside contacts including guests, regulatory agencies and others as needed.
  • Understand and respond to customers needs and ensure a high level of guest satisfaction.
  • Carry out preventive maintenance program to ensure facility is maintained and in service for our guests.
  • Maintain and order parts and supplies in a timely and efficient manner while minimizing waste and maintaining green initiatives.
  • May be responsible for hotel security to minimize risk of theft, crime and other hazards.
  • All other duties as assigned

  • Have the ability to connect and effectively communicate with people quickly in an outgoing, friendly manner
  • One should have a sense of urgency.
  • Exhibit strong time management abilities.
  • Extremely detail and multi-task oriented.
  • Ability to reason and use strong judgment skills.
  • Ability to train, teach and motivate a team.
  • Have the ability to complete work accurately and in accordance with company standards.
  • Strong Leadership Skills and Teamwork orientation.
  • Balance the needs of the operation, administration and colleagues.
  • One must be available for the demands of the business including nights, weekends and holidays
