Job Summary
The North America Senior Supply Chain Manager is responsible for leading the overall Logistics, Customer Service, Forecasting, Imports, Exports, and Inventory Management within our Functional Ingredients and Health and Nutrition groups. The position currently leads a team of 10 people covering the above referenced segments of Supply Chain. The Senior Supply Chain Manager interacts heavily with North American colleagues in Sales, Manufacturing, Finance, and Executive Management. In addition, the Senior Supply Chain Manager is a key member of the Global Supply Chain team.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities
Partnering with North America and Global Sales, Finance, Manufacturing, Regulatory, and Executive Management, you will lead efforts on:
  • Supply Chain management of the North America factory in Dubuque, IA.
  • Supply Chain management of Imported Gelatins and Collagens from sister business units in Europe, South America, and China.
  • Customer Service/Order management for the North American customer base of ca. 150 accounts.
  • Forecast accuracy for the North American customer base.
  • Logistics management of 36-40,000 tons of truck, container, and rail freight per year.
  • Inventory Management of Domestic/Imported products to achieve Working Capital goals.
  • Insuring SOX compliance in all aspects of the Supply Chain.
  • Develop and execute a regional plan for the Nafta Region aligned with the Global Supply Chain plans.
  • Engage with existing customers, freight carriers, warehousing, and customs external partners.
  • Follows all food safety procedures and practices to promote our food safety culture.
  • All other duties as assigned by management.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree with 10+ years of experience in Supply Chain management OR
  • In lieu of a college degree, 12+ years of supply chain management
  • Valid Driver's License, Passport and right to work in the U.S.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experienced user of JDE and Oracle, as well as high level fluency in Excel.
  • Well organized, with excellent time management skills.
  • Solid communication skills - written, oral and listening.
  • Self-motivated; self-starter.
  • Works well with all levels of the corporation.
  • Ability to travel 10-20% of the time to customers, trade shows, external and internal meetings.

Physical Demands
  • Ability to travel by air, automobile, walking, etc.
  • Lifting ability in general up to 20-40 pounds travel luggage, etc.
  • Extended periods spent sitting/standing at desk in front of computer screen.
  • Regularly required reach with hands and arms.

Job functions will primarily be carried out in office environments although periodic interactions will be held within Customer's and Rousselot Plant environments.
