Job Description
About the Role:
The Senior Performance Analyst is part of the Global Portfolio Analytics team and is responsible for overseeing the calculation, analysis, and reporting of investment performance across all asset classes and strategies within Invesco's global framework. This role ensures accuracy, compliance with industry standards, delivery of actionable insights to internal stakeholders, and manages relationships with both internal teams and external service providers. The Senior Analyst will possess deep expertise in performance measurement, GIPS compliance, and risk-adjusted return metrics, supported by strong analytical and communication skills. The Senior Analyst is responsible for ensuring timely and accurate delivery of results by effectively managing deadlines, aligning with client expectations, and leading staff to uphold best practices across the department.
Responsibilities of the Role:
  • Assist leading a global team of performance analysts and oversee outsourced/offshored service providers to ensure timely and accurate performance reporting.
  • Establish clear SLAs, KPIs, and governance frameworks for third-party vendors and outsource/offshore teams.
  • Drive process improvements and automation initiatives to enhance scalability and reduce operational risk.
  • Effectively lead and develop team members by fostering collaboration, accountability, and professional growth.
  • Collaborate across regions and time zones to ensure seamless communication and alignment in a global operating environment.
  • Supervise daily, monthly, and quarterly performance calculations for portfolios, composites, and benchmarks.
  • Ensure robust analysis/interpretations of results across equity, fixed income, and multi-asset strategies.
  • Maintain adherence to Global Investment Performance Standards (GIPSยฎ) and regulatory requirements.
  • Implement strong controls and audit trails across internal and outsourced processes for data integrity.
  • Deliver high-quality performance reports and dashboards to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Provide interpretation of performance drivers and risk-adjusted returns.
  • Act as the primary liaison between internal teams and outsourced/offshored providers, ensuring alignment and accountability.
  • Collaborate with portfolio managers, risk teams, and client reporting functions globally.
  • Respond to client inquiries and support RFPs with accurate performance data and commentary.

Requirements of the Role:
  • Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Mathematics, or related field.
  • CFA or CIPM designation or progress toward certification preferred.
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in performance measurement, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of GIPSยฎ standards and regulatory frameworks.
  • Experience managing outsourced and offshored teams, including vendor governance and SLA management.
  • Proficiency in performance systems (e.g., Eagle, Factset, Aladdin).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities.
  • Ability to manage global stakeholders and operate in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with attribution methodologies (Brinson, fixed income attribution, multi-currency) a plus.
  • Strong technology skills including the knowledge of investment analytics/attribution applications as well as expertise in Microsoft applications including Excel, Access, Power BI, and VBA is preferred. Programming skills are also a plus.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively within a team-oriented environment.
  • Strong project management and leadership capabilities to drive initiatives to completion.
