Job Summary
This position is responsible for marketing Expand's Appalachian natural gas production, evaluating and executing upon opportunities to optimize Expand's assets, assisting in managing positions, and generally working within the team to ensure flow and maximize company revenue under the direction of the Director - Marketing & Transportation.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
  • Purchase and sell natural gas in short-term markets
  • Works to identify, evaluate, and execute on strategies that create incremental value in the portfolio while minimizing risk
  • Participate in on call rotation
  • Works with business unit and commercial team to ensure flow from wellhead to markets
  • Assists the trading team by managing current and potential future assets and/or positions
  • Perform fundamental analysis and market surveillance to determine the best strategies to market natural gas and optimize company assets
  • Correspond with pipelines and industry contacts as the company representative to both gather necessary information and identify potential opportunities
  • Interact with internal and external clients and other key business partners daily
  • Develops, cultivates, and manages relationships with end-users and other key markets
  • Analyze pipelines/grid dynamics to identify, create, and maximize opportunities to generate incremental value
  • Monitor/identify operational issues and constraints to mitigate and prepare for near term trading
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Job Specific Skills
  • Advanced knowledge of midstream asset operations
  • Advanced knowledge of Northeast and/or Midcon regional pipeline networks
  • Advanced knowledge of macro supply/demand fundamentals
  • Advanced knowledge of contract writing skills, including industry standard terms
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Teams and Office products with emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint
  • Self-motivated and results oriented
  • Strong economic evaluation/ analytical skills
  • Ability to multi-task, while staying focused and aligned with team and corporate goals
  • Able to build relationships and is excellent in communicating with customers
  • Ability to perform statistical analysis, familiarity with Power BI, Snowflake and AI tools a plus

Education
Minimum: High school diploma or GED
Preferred: Bachelor's degree - from accredited university - Business, Finance, Energy Management, Economics, Engineering or related fields
Experience
Minimum: 2+ years related work experience
