Pricing & Operations Representative - Air Department
Location: Houston, TX - Hybrid
Employment Type: Full-Time
We are building an overnight operations team and are seeking experienced Pricing & Operations Representatives to support our Air Department across evening and night shifts. This role sits at the intersection of pricing and execution, requiring someone who can quote accurately, coordinate actively, and communicate clearly in a fast moving, time critical environment.
Available Shifts:
Shift 1: Mon / Tue / Thu / Fri / Sat | 14:30 to 22:30 | Days off: Wed and Sun
Shift 2: Mon / Tue / Wed 22:30 to 06:00 | Sat 06:00 to 14:30 | Sun 14:30 to 22:30 | Days off: Thu and Fri
Shift 3: Wed 14:30 to 22:30 | Thu / Fri / Sat / Sun 22:30 to 06:00 | Days off: Mon and Tue
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver accurate freight pricing for air shipments, ensuring competitiveness and margin awareness
  • Coordinate international and domestic air freight shipments from booking through delivery
  • Communicate with clients, carriers, and internal teams to ensure on time performance and service quality
  • Manage shipment documentation, customs paperwork, and regulatory compliance
  • Monitor active shipments, resolve exceptions, and provide proactive updates to customers and stakeholders
  • Maintain accurate records within company systems, ensuring data integrity and timely updates
  • Support operations leadership with daily tasks, reporting, and process improvement initiatives
  • Uphold Sciens' standards for speed, precision, and reliability on every shipment

Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in freight forwarding, with a focus on air freight operations or pricing
  • Strong understanding of global logistics, documentation, and compliance requirements
  • Ability to build and present competitive freight quotes with accuracy and speed
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a customer focused mindset
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Ability and willingness to work overnight shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as part of a 24/7 operation
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with Cargowise
  • English is a must and Spanish is a plus
