Broadcast translators are secondary transmitters that receive a radio or television signal from a primary station and retransmit it to areas where the original signal is weak or cannot reach. They help extend the coverage of the main broadcaster, especially in rural, mountainous, or remote regions. Broadcast translators operate on different frequencies from the main station and play a crucial role in ensuring that more listeners or viewers can access broadcast content.
