Job Summary:
Booz Allen Hamilton is seeking a Cloud Engineer to develop cloud-based solutions for the Department of Defense's toughest problems. The role involves designing secure cloud-based communications networks and recommending tools and solutions to improve client environments using current cloud capabilities.
Responsibilities:
• design a secure, cloud-based communications network to support mission-critical operations
• use the latest cloud technologies to improve client’s environment
• recommend tools and solutions based on research of the current environment and knowledge of various resources
• lead your team as they help the client overcome their most difficult challenges in the cloud
• broaden your skill set in areas like automation while developing critical systems for the government
Qualifications:
Required:
• 2+ years of experience with administering Windows and Linux operating systems
• 2+ years of experience with supporting and administering engineering tools, including 3Dexperience, IBM DOORS, Jama Connect, ModelCenter, TeamCenter, MATLAB, or STK or CAD tools, including CATIA or SolidWorks
• 1+ years of experience with cloud computing, including Amazon Web Services GovCloud or Commercial
• Secret clearance
• Bachelor’s degree
• IAT Level II 8570 Certification, including Security+ certification
Preferred:
• Experience in scripting tools and languages, including Ansible, Terraform, or Python
• Experience in standing up and configuring engineering tools on new and existing infrastructure
• Experience in developing and automating tools and infrastructure in the cloud
• Knowledge of linking analytical and engineering tools in a digital thread
• Knowledge of DoD Security best practices and compliance requirements
