Job description

Job Title: Medical Technologist– Blood Bank
Location: Jamaica, NY 11432
Schedule: 35 Hours per Week (7X5)
Shift: Evening Shift – 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM
Duration: 9 weeks
Travel pay: From $2,300/week
Local pay: From $52/hr

Position Summary: We are seeking a Clinical Laboratory Technologist with Blood Bank experience to join a dynamic laboratory team. The ideal candidate will have experience performing blood bank testing and laboratory procedures while ensuring compliance with quality and regulatory standards.

Requirements:

  • Minimum one (1) year of Clinical Laboratory Technologist experience in a Blood Bank setting
  • Associate's Degree from an accredited Medical Laboratory Technology program
  • Valid New York State Clinical Laboratory Technologist License issued by NYSED
  • Primary Source Verification of licensure required
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • BLS Certification

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform laboratory testing and procedures in the Blood Bank department
  • Ensure accuracy and quality of laboratory results
  • Follow established laboratory policies, procedures, and safety standards
  • Maintain compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements
