Job description

Currently hiring steel erectors for pre-engineered metal building projects in Green Bay, WI, Pay is $25 - $38 per hour based on skill set and experience. If you have 3 or more years experience as a steel erector apply now!

Steel Erector Responsibilities:

  • Stage and assemble prefabricated metal building component
  • Installation of the following: insulation, cladding, roofing systems, and related materials (fiberglass insulation, metal cladding, standing seam roofs, insulated metal panels, windows, and passage doors)
  • Read and interpretdrawings and blueprints
  • Prepare materials prior to assembly for efficient installation
  • Hoist, guide, and position components using cranes or telehandlers
  • Rig and move heavy materials safely
  • Operate mobile elevated work platforms and other hand and power tools safely and effectively.
  • Assist with anchor bolt layout and placement.
  • Layout and install light and heavy-gauge metal stud framing.
  • Cut, fit, and modify metal materials as needed for precise installation.

Steel Erector Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in steel erection
  • Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
  • Comfortable working at heights
  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail
  • Must have basic steel tools (screw gun, tin snips) and PPE
  • Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
