Spend your summer doing what you love in one of the most spectacular settings in the country. As a Basecamp Guide at Big Sky Resort, you'll lead guests through an exciting lineup of outdoor experiences including scenic and adrenaline-fueled zipline tours through the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem, lake activities on Lake Levinsky, guided mountain tours with views of Lone Peak and the Spanish Peaks, and kid-friendly adventures in the Mountain Village. No two days are the same; one shift you may be clipping guests into harnesses on the mountain, the next you're paddling out on the lake or sharing the stories and geology of Big Sky's iconic landscape. Guides bring genuine enthusiasm, sharp safety instincts, and the kind of energy that turns a first-timer's nervous laugh into a memory they'll talk about for years. If the outdoors is your classroom and people are your passion, this is your summer.


Responsibilities
  • Must be willing and able to gain extensive knowledge of Big Sky Resort and the surrounding areas. Must be an expert on all activities offered by Basecamp and feel confident taking on a leadership role while guiding inexperienced guests
  • Engage in strenuous activities such as hiking, climbing and lifting. Must be physically able and willing to perform all activities and work in extreme and changing weather conditions
  • Enjoy interacting with guests of all types and engaging for extended periods of time. This position requires an outgoing and friendly individual that strives to make guests feel welcome and safe.

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Willing and able to participate in and attend all training sessions. Guide training is provided by Big Sky Resort
  • Previous customer service and/or group guiding preferred
  • Enjoy working outdoors!

All full time seasonal employment at Big Sky Resort includes:
