The Asset & Wealth Management Division (AWM) invests in corporate equity and debt, real estate equity and debt, and infrastructure-related assets and companies. The Asset Management Private investing business operates on a global platform and our team works in a fast-paced, exciting environment. YOUR IMPACT

The Asset & Wealth Management (AWM) Operations team is seeking a Associate to join the Corporate Actions and Covenants team offering dedicated support for the high growth Alternative Private investing business within AWM. This is an exceptionally diverse role that entails collaboration with Global Front Office, Strategists, Engineering, Controllers, Legal, Risk, Credit, Tax, Compliance & across Operational groups to facilitate business that is multi-asset, dynamic and bespoke. 

OUR IMPACT  

Alternative Private Operations team members will become subject matter experts within Operations functions to play a critical role in establishing new processes, transitioning functions from other parts of the business whilst supporting bespoke and varied transactions. New products/ business, entity creation, trade support & settlement, asset servicing, infrastructure enhancements and cross-regional co-ordination are core activities. The scope of the role and team is expected to evolve and expand as functions transfer into the team and scope of the real estate investment mix changes. 

HOW YOU WILL FULFIL YOUR POTENTIAL 

This is an exceptionally diverse role that entails collaboration with Portfolio & Asset Managers, Capital Markets, Strategists, Controllers, Legal, Technologists, Risk, Credit, Tax, Compliance & cross Operational groups. 

The successful individual will be expected to work in a team of professionals and be able to be commercial, critical & creative whilst ensuring the highest level of risk management. 

  • Gain an in depth & comprehensive understanding of a wide range of real estate investments, processes, bespoke transactions and corporate practices / governance
  • Work with stakeholders to collate and validate key documentation and financial test information relating to the health of our investments 
  • Partner with the Business and Federation to provide subject matter and system knowledge expertise 
  • Leverage your skills to decompose complex structured transactions and propose creative, robust operational solutions
  • Work with sponsors to obtain and verify critical documentation supporting the health of investments across asset classes 
  • Building key relationships with senior stakeholders, driving divisional priorities to ensure 
  • Exhibit excellent judgement & problem-solving skills, particularly in the context of a new team with or without existing precedents

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Bachelor's degree with a minimum of three years of experience in financial services, preferably in real estate operations, corporate actions or covenant monitoring.

  • Proven analytical skills, problem solving ability, and a control mentality paired with meticulous attention to detail
  • Previous experience in Loan documentation covering multiple Deal / Investing teams 
  • Aptitude for building relationships and ability to communicate complex issues to a wide array of internal clients with differing levels of product experience
  • Self-motivated and proactive team player, who takes ownership and accountability of projects, has strong organizational skills as well as the ability to effectively manage competing priorities
  • Flexible and able to work well under pressure in a team environment
  • Knowledge of Business Intelligence tooling, specifically focused on process uplift and Operational enhancement
  • Strong knowledge or prior experience in documentation reviews will be beneficial
