Job description

Sales Manager

Graff Chevrolet of Chesterton
Chesterton, IN

If you are a proven automotive sales leader and you know you can do more with the right platform, we want to talk to you.

Graff Chevrolet of Chesterton is looking for a high-level Sales Manager who can lead from the front, drive performance, build a strong culture, and capitalize on one of the most unique retail opportunities in the market.

This is more than a typical dealership management role. As part of the Graff Auto Campus, this position gives you access to the advantages of a true multi-brand operation, including five new car franchises and hundreds of used vehicles on-site. That means more opportunity, more traffic, more inventory flexibility, and more ways to help your team win.

If you are currently producing but feel limited by your storeโ€™s inventory, support, tools, or growth potential, this may be the opportunity you have been waiting for.

Why This Opportunity Stands Out
  • Part of the Graff Auto Campus, one of the most unique automotive retail environments in the region

  • Access to 5 new vehicle brands

  • Access to hundreds of used vehicles on-site

  • More inventory options to help close deals and keep customers on your campus

  • Strong cross-brand opportunity and used vehicle depth

  • A chance to help lead in an environment built for traffic, selection, and growth

  • Opportunity to make a real impact, not just occupy a desk

  • Leadership that values operators who can drive results and develop people

  • A store and campus with momentum, visibility, and long-term opportunity

What Youโ€™ll Be Expected to Do
  • Lead the sales floor with urgency, accountability, and energy

  • Desk deals effectively and help maximize volume, gross, and close rate

  • Coach, develop, and challenge the sales team to perform at a high level

  • Drive execution around CRM activity, lead follow-up, appointments, and process consistency

  • Partner with BDC, F&I, and leadership to improve overall store performance

  • Help manage inventory strategy, merchandising, aging, and deal flow

  • Step in on customer issues, close gaps quickly, and keep momentum strong

  • Recruit and retain talent that can elevate store performance

  • Help create a winning culture where expectations are high and performance is recognized

Who We Want
  • A proven automotive sales manager who knows how to lead and produce

  • Someone who understands how to create momentum on the floor

  • A manager who can hold people accountable while still building culture

  • Someone who sees opportunity in inventory depth, campus traffic, and multi-brand flexibility

  • A leader who wants to be part of building something bigger than a single-store operation

  • A competitive, process-driven operator who wants real opportunity for impact and growth

Qualifications
  • Prior automotive sales management experience preferred

  • Proven track record of driving performance and developing teams

  • Strong desk skills and understanding of retail automotive operations

  • Experience with CRM, lead management, and process accountability

  • Strong communication, leadership, and customer handling ability

  • Valid driverโ€™s license and acceptable driving record

Compensation and Opportunity
  • Competitive compensation package

  • Benefits and paid time off

  • Employee purchase program

  • Opportunity for advancement within a growing organization

  • Chance to work in a high-visibility role with meaningful impact
