Job description

Are you an experienced Marine Electronics Engineer that enjoys working with ships?? If so, our team in Washington, DC is looking for a Marine Electronics Engineer with 8 years of C5I integration experience.  This hybrid position supports the United States Coast Guard and our Ship Design Group!


  • Conduct design of electric and electronic systems, study power generation and distribution, centralized machinery monitoring and control.
  • Applying knowledge of and experience with engineering principles and techniques, to develop and evaluate moderately complex technical reports related to application of C5I systems onboard USCG ships.
  • Reviewing and evaluating the effect of new and/or modified electronics on overall system performance.
  • Review and adjudicate system design specifications, test requirements, Departures from Specification (DFS’s), Request for Waiver (RFW), Engineering Changes (EC’s).

  • Bachelor's degree and 8 - 10 years of related work experience (Degree in Engineering is preferred)
  • Ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance
  • Must be a US Citizen for the purposes of obtaining a security clearance
  • Minimum of 8 years documented experience developing and integrating systems
    involving electromagnetic energy transmission for purposes including sensor
    processing, remote sensing, communications, guidance and control, information
    processing, navigation and defense applications.
  • Meets Required DoD IAT Level II Baseline Certification Requirements.
  • Previous experience with shipboard and defense C5I systems preferred
  • Knowledge of USN, USCG, ABS and/or commercial ship design rules and regulations.

Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
