Job Description:
The Office of the University Registrar is seeking an Assistant University Registrar to support the university's degree audit and curriculum implementation processes. In this role, you will oversee academic records systems and processes, ensure compliance with curriculum and accreditation standards, support strategic initiatives related to alternative credentials, and provide leadership for university-wide academic operations.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Degree Audits
  • Support the university's degree audit process and ensure the accuracy and integrity of undergraduate degree audits
  • Maintain compliance with undergraduate curriculum standards and university academic policies
  • Coordinate with academic advisors, colleges, and departments to support accurate degree progress tracking
  • Support processes related to excess hours surcharge, degree certification, and academic records compliance
  • Assist with the development and maintenance of academic pathways, systems, and related processes

Curriculum
  • Manage the implementation of curriculum changes in collaboration with academic departments and colleges
  • Ensure curriculum updates are accurately and timely reflected within university systems
  • Assist in coordinating and synchronizing undergraduate, graduate, and professional catalogs
  • Partner with the University Catalog editor to maintain catalog accuracy and compliance with accreditation standards
  • Support continuous improvement of curriculum and catalog management procedures

Leadership
  • Supervise staff responsible for degree audit software, university catalogs, and alternative credential platforms
  • Establish work priorities, assignments, schedules, and deadlines to ensure operational effectiveness
  • Provide guidance, training, and performance support to staff members
  • Assist the Associate Director in providing leadership and direction for academic systems and operational initiatives
  • Participate as a member of the Registrar leadership team in strategic planning, resource allocation, and goal setting

Strategy
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement alternative credential initiatives, including digital badges and micro-credentials
  • Support initiatives that enhance the educational experience and meet diverse student needs
  • Represent the university at local, state, and national meetings, forums, and professional association events
  • Contribute to special projects and other duties as assigned by the Associate University Registrar
  • Foster collaborative relationships across colleges, departments, and university partners
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Expected Salary:
$65,000 annually

Required Qualifications:
Master's degree in an appropriate area and two years of relevant experience; or a bachelor's degree in an appropriate area and four years of relevant experience.
Preferred:
  • Experience demonstrating a strong foundation in Registrar related functions.
  • Proficiency in utilizing student record systems and conducting comprehensive data analysis to inform decision-making and enhance student outcomes.
  • Demonstrated expertise in maintaining meticulous documentation and organizational systems to streamline degree audit procedures and effectively support broader student success initiatives.
  • Proven track record in utilizing curriculum management and degree audit software to optimize academic program efficiency and accuracy.
  • Exceptional leadership abilities coupled with excellent communication skills, enabling effective collaboration and coordination with stakeholders.
