Job description

Agency Asset Manager II

The Manager plays a key role responsible for the daily oversight and management of an assigned portfolio of multifamily loans, with a primary focus on risk mitigation efforts. As the primary point of contact, this role is responsible for monitoring emerging risk and working closely with borrowers and investors to seek remediation.

Responsibilities:

  • Subject matter expert on Asset Management tasks

  • Analyze financial statements and property operating statements

  • Conduct property inspections

  • Review reserve draws

  • Process consent requests, including related review of loan documents and other

  • agreements

  • Manage client relationships, providing excellent customer servicing while enforcing loan document/lender requirements.

  • Perform ongoing risk analysis, ensuring timely risk detection and appropriate monitoring

  • Identify CREFC watchlist triggers and prepare investor comments for assigned portfolio

  • Conduct market research and prepare market reports

  • Prepare loan and portfolio level status reports

  • Comply with all Investor monitoring and reporting requirements

  • Assists Team Leader in compiling information for investor audits, as needed

  • Handles special projects as assigned by Team Leader

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or military experience

  • At least 5 years of experience in Agency Asset Management

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of commercial real estate experience

  • 6+ years of experience analyzing property operating statements, rent rolls, and borrower financial statements

  • 6+ years of asset management experience with managing Fannie Mae or Freddie Mac Agency property inspection experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or Economics

  • Freddie Mac Exempt Inspector Status or equivalent inspection experience

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office or Google Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)

  • Highly developed analytical skills including the ability to create complex spreadsheets and mine data

  • Strong written and oral communication skills

  • Mortgage Banker's Association (MBA) Multifamily Property Inspections Certification

Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate's offer letter.

This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
