How much do artificial intelligence manufacturing jobs pay per year?

As of Jun 8, 2026, the average yearly pay for artificial intelligence manufacturing in the United States is $97,556.00, according to ZipRecruiter salary data. Most workers in this role earn between $78,000.00 and $120,500.00 per year, depending on experience, location, and employer.

What manufacturing jobs will AI replace?

AI is likely to automate repetitive manufacturing roles such as assembly line workers, machine operators, and quality inspectors. Jobs requiring manual labor or routine tasks are most susceptible, while roles involving complex problem-solving, creativity, or human oversight are less affected. Manufacturing professionals should focus on developing skills in programming, maintenance, and AI system management to stay relevant.

What are some common challenges faced by professionals working in Artificial Intelligence Manufacturing?

Professionals in Artificial Intelligence Manufacturing often encounter challenges such as integrating AI systems with existing manufacturing equipment, ensuring data quality for machine learning models, and maintaining cybersecurity for connected devices. Adapting to rapidly evolving AI technologies and aligning them with production goals requires continuous learning and cross-functional collaboration with engineers, data scientists, and production teams. Effective communication and problem-solving skills are essential to address unexpected technical issues and optimize manufacturing efficiency.

What is artificial intelligence manufacturing?

Artificial intelligence manufacturing refers to the use of AI technologies, such as machine learning, robotics, and data analytics, to optimize and automate processes in the manufacturing industry. AI can help improve product quality, reduce downtime, and increase efficiency by enabling predictive maintenance, real-time monitoring, and advanced quality control. This integration allows manufacturers to make faster, data-driven decisions and respond more effectively to changing market demands.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in Artificial Intelligence Manufacturing, and why are they important?

To thrive in Artificial Intelligence Manufacturing, you need a solid background in engineering, computer science, or robotics, combined with expertise in AI algorithms and manufacturing processes. Familiarity with tools like Python, TensorFlow, PLCs, CAD software, and knowledge of automation systems or industry certifications such as Six Sigma is highly beneficial. Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and effective communication help individuals stand out in this field. These skills ensure efficient integration of AI technologies into manufacturing, driving innovation, productivity, and quality improvements.

Job description

Artificial Intelligence Analyst – Harrison, OH (local candidates only)

Cincinnati Incorporated is seeking an innovative, solution-driven Intelligent Automation Engineer to drive efficiency and eliminate operational waste through the application of advanced technologies. In this role, you will partner cross-functionally to identify opportunities where automation can deliver meaningful business impact and lead the design, development, and implementation of those solutions.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone seeking an Artificial Intelligence  Analyst who will apply cutting-edge technologies to streamline work processes and eliminate operational waste. In this role, you will work with teams from across the organization to identify opportunities, determine where intelligent automation tools, such as autonomous agents, Generative AI, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and Vibe Coding, can add the most value and then lead the implementation of those solutions.

We proudly support veterans and military families and strongly encourage U.S. military veterans to apply. The skills developed through military service - such as discipline, accountability, teamwork, and problem-solving - translate well into this role and are highly valued at our organization.

About Cincinnati Incorporated:
Cincinnati Incorporated (CI) has been manufacturing industrial machinery since the late 1890s and remains a respected name in the fabrication industry. • Rapid Prototyping & Deployment:Build and iterate solutions using AI and other development tools to create seamless, automated loops.
  • Data Governance & Security:Ensure that all implementations follow strict data privacy standards and that "hallucinations" or errors are mitigated through robust testing and human checkpoints.
  • Performance Analytics: Develop dashboards to track automation performance to show the "Before vs. After" in terms of time saved and output quality.
  • Mentor and Coach: Partner with the business' functional experts to increase knowledge and utilization of automation tools.
  • Lifecycle Management: Provide production-level support for all in-scope solutions

Essential Skills, Knowledge, and Behaviors:

  • AI Fluency: Deep understanding of Prompt Engineering, LLM parameters, and the current agentic AI ecosystem.
  • Analytical Mindset:Proven ability to translate messy, manual business processes into clean, structured data flows.
  • Systems Integration:Experience connecting AI to legacy business systems.  A working knowledge of business systems, such as Epicor, and collaboration tools, such as Google Workspace.
  • Development:Proficiency in Python and other languages, familiarity with delivering solutions using Generative AI and other automation tools, and expertise in UX creation.
  • Soft Skills:Team-oriented and skilled in working within a collaborative environment.  Customer service oriented.
