Licensed Plumber (Apprentice or Licensed)

Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Licensed Plumber or Advanced Apprentice (2+ years experience) to join our new construction team. This role focuses on the "ground up" installation of plumbing systems for both residential homes and commercial developments. You will be responsible for interpreting blueprints, installing rough-ins, and setting fixtures while adhering strictly to the Illinois Plumbing Code.
Key Responsibilities
New Build Installation: Install sanitary, storm, and water distribution systems in new residential and commercial structures.
Rough-Ins: Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipe (PVC, Copper, PEX, Cast Iron) to required specifications.
- Fixture Setting: Install and connect sinks, toilets, water heaters, and commercial-grade fixtures.
- Blueprint Reading: Interpret architectural drawings and submittals to ensure accurate placement of pipes and fixtures.
Compliance: Ensure all work meets or exceeds the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) plumbing regulations.
- Collaboration: Coordinate with other trades (electrical, HVAC, framing) to maintain project timelines.
Qualifications & Requirements
Licensure: Must possess a valid Illinois Apprentice Plumber License or Illinois Licensed Plumber card.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in the plumbing trade, specifically with a focus on new construction.
Driver’s License: Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
Commute: Must have reliable transportation to travel to various job sites across the region.
Tools: Knowledge of and ability to operate industry-standard tools (threaders, torches, crimpers, etc.).
Physical Ability: Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs, work in confined spaces, and handle the physical demands of a construction site.
Skills & Competencies
Strong understanding of the Illinois Plumbing Code.
Proficiency in soldering copper and joining various pipe materials.
Ability to work independently or as part of a crew.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
