We are looking for: 

The Project Controls Specialist Composite Materials GBU that has responsibilities associated with the development of the GBU calendar year CAPEX budget, quarterly CAPEX forecasts, CAPEX project portfolio prioritization sessions, and providing project controls support to projects as assigned.

We count on you for: 

  • Coordination of the development of the Composite Materials GBU's calendar year CAPEX budget and Medium Term Plans (MTP)
  • Support the coordination and execution of CAPEX portfolio prioritization sessions
  • Coordinate the development and validation of quarterly GBU CAPEX forecasts
  • Coordinate the authorizations of individual CAPEX projects
  • Provide cost and schedule control and reporting on projects as assigned
  • Support creation of Purchase Order requisitions, change orders for projects as assigned
  • Support project close outs for projects as assigned
  • Support the execution of capital projects including the project set up, filing, communication and distribution logs, reporting and close out as assigned.

Reporting Structure:

  • The Project Controls Specialist will report to the Syensqo Composite Materials GBU's Project Engineering Lead.

You will bring: 

  • Required Education
    • BS in an Engineering Discipline or Construction Management
  • Required Experience:
    • A minimum of 5 years of direct experience with CAPEX project execution within manufacturing, chemical or other relevant business sectors
    • A minimum of 3 years in project controls, project engineering, and construction management

Skills

  • Required
    • Person must have a demonstrated history of successful use of project controls skills.
    • Advanced proficiency with Gantt chart software, preferably MS Project
    • Advanced proficiency with MS Office 365 suite, particularly Excel. Advanced proficiency in use and creation of pivot tables, formulas, queries and macros.
    • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills in English.
  • Desired
    • Competency in the development of VBA script for use within the MS Office platform
    • Experience in SAP Project Systems module
    • Experience in Supplier Relationship Management 7.0 (SRM7)

  • Competitive salary and benefits package.

  • The U.S. base salary range reasonably expected to be paid for this position is $88,480 - 110,600 per year. Since actual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted base salary range. Total compensation for this role also includes bonus and/or other incentives.

  • 16, or more, weeks of maternity/paternity and co-parenting leave, according to local regulations

  • Training platform for all employees

  • Free well-being sessions (physical and psychological)

Additonal Information:

  • Travel is anticipated to be minimal, with the potential for group meetings and or site visits on an infrequent basis (1-4 trips per year)
