General Description
The Trainer engages the clients, who are primarily adult learners looking for work and/or occupational training, develops their skills, and ultimately, improves their chances of being hired. The Trainer will be called upon to reshape curricula as needed and devise additional activities that capture our clients’ interest and develop their problem solving and communication skills. The Trainer must be able to integrate the latest forms of technology in the classroom and understand the power of the Internet as a learning tool.

 Responsibilities
  • Conduct daily workshops on different topics related to improving clients’ job readiness, and increasing clients’ chances of finding employment and career advancement
  • Motivate clients to take advantage of the wide array of education and career advancement services available to them
  • Discuss clients’ career interests and opportunities with them
  • Provide feedback to program staff on clients’ profess, needs, etc.
  • Continually seek to develop one’s self professionally
Work and Educational Requirements
  • BA/BS degree
  • 1-3 years of previous training experience
  • Strong presentation skills and the ability to motivate people
  • Computer proficiency including MS XP, MS Office Suite, and AV equipment
  • Excellent interpersonal communications skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, performance-driven business environment
