The Contribution You'll bring to this Role:
The Business Development Manager, Data Center Market will focus on expanding Basic Concepts' presence and offerings within the North American data center sector. This role emphasizes direct customer and engineering firm engagement, project tracking and market intelligence, and collaboration with territory-based sales teams.
This is a highly strategic and outward-facing position that combines direct end-user interaction with internal sales support, all while serving as a subject matter expert on the evolving data center landscape.
In this role, you will report directly to the Director of Sales, setting the stage for your career to soar! This role is your gateway to opportunities for advancement, with the potential to grow within the organization in 3-5 years as you make meaningful contributions to our organizational goals.
About the Team:
As a member of our Sales team, you'll have the opportunity to work with leading distributors and top brands in the industry, driving sales efforts that make a real impact. What You'll Do at Justrite:
  • Develop and implement a North American strategy for capturing data center market share.
  • Identify and engage directly with key data center end users, design engineers, and engineering firms to build long-term relationships and uncover new opportunities.
  • Build a centralized database of data center projects, actively tracking their lifecycle stages (planning, zoning, engineering, preconstruction, construction, completion).
  • Serve as the internal market expert for the data center industry, sharing trends, forecasts, and competitive intelligence with the broader organization.
  • Expand Basic Concepts' product relevance and offerings within data centers beyond current environmental products.
  • Drive end-user specification through direct engagement and collaboration with engineering consultants and project stakeholders.
  • Partner with regional sales managers to jointly grow market presence and improve penetration into strategic accounts.
  • Provide detailed market and competitor feedback to guide product development and business strategy.

Your Skills and Expertise:
To ensure your success from day one in this role, Justrite requires the following qualifications at a minimum:
  • 5+ years of business development, strategic sales, or technical sales experience-preferably in construction, data center, or infrastructure-related products.
  • Demonstrated success building relationships directly with end users and engineering firms in a complex or emerging vertical.
  • Experience researching and tracking long-cycle projects (e.g., infrastructure, data centers, utilities).
  • Strong familiarity with data center development processes and key players in the industry is a significant plus.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or related field preferred.
  • Willingness to travel up to 40% within North America

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
  • Proven ability to build and nurture strategic customer and partner relationships.
  • Strong knowledge of sales processes, project tracking, and CRM systems (Salesforce experience preferred).
  • Excellent analytical and research skills for compiling market intelligence and project pipelines.

Compensation:
The position offers a competitive base salary ranging from $115,000 to $140,000.
Actual base salaries will vary and may be above or below the recommended pay range based on factors such as but not limited to location, relevant experience and performance. Additionally, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan to enhance their overall total compensation package when Justrite Safety Group and their business units achieve annual business and financial targets.
