Job description

Amazon Corporate Business Development is seeking a highly motivated and experienced BD and partnerships professional to join the Corporate BD team to focus on strategic initiatives, deal work, and first-of-a-kind commercial partnerships across a range of industries and sectors. This role will work closely with Amazon senior management, cross business-unit BD teams, and Corporate Partnership Directors to develop unique, high-impact partnership opportunities, finding the right intersection between our strategic goals and partner capabilities. You will be part of a team responsible for generating, managing, and executing some of Amazon's most complex, precedent-setting partnerships. This includes supporting and managing relationships and negotiations for deals that have long-term, transformative implications for Amazon. This position offers an unparalleled opportunity to leverage your ability to forge strong relationships at senior levels, lead first-of-their-kind commercial initiatives, and build cross-functional relationships inside one of the world's most innovative, customer-centric companies.
We are seeking an innovative, creative, analytical, and strategic thinker who is passionate about building transformative commercial partnerships that support Amazon's ongoing growth and innovation. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who thrives on solving complex, ambiguous problems, someone who can identify and structure novel partnership models that don't yet have a playbook. You work effectively with cross-functional counterparts and excel in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment. High judgment, the ability to earn trust at all levels, strong negotiation skills, and comfort operating in highly visible, ambiguous situations are essential for success in this role.
Key job responsibilities
• Develop transformative commercial strategies that drive significant business impact.
• Lead identifying, evaluating, negotiating and managing strategic partnerships that enable valuable customer experiences and support the strategic objectives of Amazon.
• Build strong internal relationships with leaders and counterparts across Amazon's diverse set of businesses.
• Work with cross-functional teams including Product, Operations, Engineering, Legal, Finance, Tax, Accounting, and senior management to execute on the relationships.
• Build internal support for new initiatives with keen focus on market opportunity, business potential, and overall strategic fit.
• Evaluate the economic and strategic costs and benefits of partnerships and work with appropriate leaders and across all functional areas of Amazon to execute on the relationships.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 7+ years of professional or military experience
- 7+ years of business development, partnership management, or sourcing new business experience
- 7+ years of developing, negotiating and executing business agreements experience
- Experience developing and executing on GTM strategies that are large in scope
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience developing, deploying and managing AI products at scale
- Experience interfacing with customers (Enterprise, SMB, and Startups) and ability to convert customer requirements to high level architecture solutions to build on

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location. Amazon also offers comprehensive benefits including health insurance (medical, dental, vision, prescription, Basic Life & AD&D insurance and option for Supplemental life plans, EAP, Mental Health Support, Medical Advice Line, Flexible Spending Accounts, Adoption and Surrogacy Reimbursement coverage), 401(k) matching, paid time off, and parental leave.
