Job description

Job Summary: Performs minor repairs to residential siding. Must be able to diagnose siding defects and recommend or complete necessary repairs.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • This position has no current supervisory responsibilities

Essential Duties:
  • Work closely with the field supervisors and other department personnel for scheduled jobs.
  • Inspect work areas to determine type of work required, materials needed to make appropriate repairs.
  • Perform siding repairs and have the ability to recommend needed repairs.
  • Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance and quality.
  • Communicate material needs and job updates to office personnel and manager.
  • Assist in providing job documentation.
  • Responsible for transporting materials to and from the vendors.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Thorough understanding of residential siding installation and repair process
  • Thorough understanding of construction industry safety and health laws, regulations and policies
  • Ability to use hand and power tools
  • Excellent communication skills

Education and Experience:
  • High School Diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • At least 2 years of siding experience
  • At least 4 years of carpentry experience

Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to lift up to 50-75 pounds
  • Must have a valid Driver's License
  • Must be able to climb a ladder
  • Must be able to access and navigate all areas of construction site in various types of weather
