The Academic Affairs Project Manager focuses on planning and executing projects within academic settings, requiring project management skills and certifications. In contrast, the Academic Program Coordinator handles day-to-day program operations and student support. Both roles are vital in higher education but differ in scope and responsibilities.

General Summary: Provides strategic financial management and operational support for the Academic Affairs division. Serves as the primary budget manager for divisional, endowed, unrestricted, and sponsored funds, including post-award grant administration. Advises faculty, staff, and leadership on budgeting, financial planning, and compliance. Designs and maintains financial tracking and workflow systems, including Smartsheet tools, to support effective fiscal stewardship and regulatory compliance. Reports to the Senior Budget Manager in the Office of Finance and Administration.
Essential Job Functions:
REQUIREMENTS
Education: BA/BS degree required. Preferably in finance or accounting.
Experience: Minimum of 4 years managing budgets. Minimum 1 year of Smartsheet or equivalent experience in dashboards and
workflows. Experience in grant administration preferred.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Intermittent sitting, standing, stooping, crouching, walking, and occasional moving of light objects. Work is performed in an office.
