Job Title: Patient Services Representative
Location: West Hollywood, CA (90048)

Duration: 3+ months
Work Schedule: 1st Shift || Monday through Friday
Position Responsibilities/Expectations:
  • Answering and triaging calls- directing to appropriate individuals or departments.
  • Scheduling appointments
  • Perform insurance verification functions.
  • Calendaring using the outlook application.
  • Process and track all incoming and outgoing referrals and reviewing the Referral Work Queue and screening New Patients.
  • Sorting and deposition of mail and patient information in compliance with HIPAA rules and regulations following Cedars-Sinai standards.
  • Interact with patients, providers and other caregivers within the clinic and at outside facilities providing accurate, timely and responsive information.
  • Provide patients with generic preoperative information sheets and advise patients of preoperative surgical and financial requirements.
  • Uploading patient imaging.
  • Assist in all work assignments.
Required Years of Experience (minimum): 2 years of experience in a similar role within healthcare facility
Education Required: HSD/GED required
Skills Required:
  • Skill in setting priorities which accurately reflect the relative importance of job responsibilities
  • Ability to establish and maintain a productive working relationship with faculty, staff, administration, and patients
  • Ability to creatively integrate competing demands into a productive working environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Ability to interact diplomatically and sympathetically, in a cheerful manger, with proper etiquette and professionalism
  • Ability to use health system computer systems, and utilize the various resources and tools effectively
  • Ability to schedule surgeries accurately in a timely manner
  • Previous working knowledge of patient related policies and procedures
Skills Preferred:
  • Experience utilizing EPIC EMR system
  • Experience directly working with physicians
Daily Case Load:
  • Scheduling patients for appointments, infusion, chemotherapy, etc. 100-120/day
