Looking for a new career in manufacturing? IMCO Carbide Tool in Perrysburg, Ohio is hiring!!

We currently have an opening in our Manufacturing department for a Cell Technician (Anca). While experience on an Anca would be preferred, WE WILL TRAIN THE RIGHT PERSON. Mechanical aptitude, basic math skills, and a desire to work are necessary qualities.

Cell Technician (Anca)

As part of a team, the Cell Technician (Anca) is responsible for performing those activities necessary to produce a variety of carbide cutting tools according to specifications of prints and within tolerances required by quality standards. The Cell Technician (Anca) will use appropriate inspection procedures (visual and dimensional), use measuring equipment, and read blueprints to perform in process checks to ensure our tools meet the necessary specifications and quality control standards that have been established. The Cell Technician (Anca) will be responsible for setting up the machines and for making in-process adjustments to ensure that tools are produced according to spec on a consistent basis.

In addition to those mentioned above, other responsibilities include tracking / logging job production data; maintaining machine and work area in a safe, clean, and orderly manner; monitor supplies and notify Cell Lead or Supervisor when supplies are running low; be a contributing member of a team that cultivates a culture of mutual respect and teamwork; and meeting both personal and team goals.

Experience & Requirements

  • High School diploma or G.E.D. required
  • General math skills are necessary for this position and a math test will be administered.
  • Ability to do hands-on work.
  • Effective communication skills (verbal, written).
  • Ability to work with a diverse environment.
  • Ability to adhere to a schedule on a regular basis is required.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Mechanical aptitude.
  • Problem solving skills.
  • Reliable transportation required.

Manufacturing positions require the ability to lift up to 40 lbs.; the ability to safely handle the wheels, wheel packs, and tools; the ability to follow instruction and operate a machine safely and correctly; flexibility of hands/fingers for handling tools, wheel parts, and for data entry purposes; visual acuity, with or without corrective lenses; the ability to communicate both verbally and in writing; the ability to stand for long periods of time; the ability to walk or otherwise ambulate; the ability to bend or reach to retrieve materials. Accommodation requests will be considered with a high focus on safety.

Wage & Schedules

We have a position available on the following shift, with a minimum base rate of $20.00/hour.

(1) 5th Shift, Friday thru Sunday, 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM, with a shift differential of $3.50

Working Conditions:

Cell Technicians will work primarily in a production area, where there may be contact with natural oils, synthetic oils, and various grinding dusts. This area has moderate noise levels and has climate control. Due to the nature of our product, proper handling of cutting tools is necessary to prevent injury. Proper instruction, training, and PPE is provided for the specific job or duty.
