Job Description

The Instrument Engineer is responsible for designing research instrument for performing biochemical reactions and for signal detection. The successful candidate should have a track record designing life science research instrument with experiences in mechanical stages, precision optical assemblies, fluidics, structural, housing parts and computer control.

Qualifications

MS or BS in Mechanical Engineering, Electric Engineering or related discipline

Minimum 3 years relevant professional experience.

Understand requirements and generate design concepts.

Select and specify components; make/buy decisions.

Develop 3D models, fab and assembly drawings.

Build and test prototypes.

Interface with purchasing and suppliers.

Maintain product documentation.

Release documentation for manufacturing.
