Job description

Our users are our customers. Ensuring they have the equipment they need, resolving tech issuesin a timely manner,and building great relationships with themis the ultimate test of internal customer service within our IT department. AsSolar Atmospheresgrows, so does the number ofnew users, new machines, tickets, and troubleshooting. As a result,we'relooking to add anIT Help Desk Technicianwho will work with theteamMonday through Friday, 8am - 4:30pm,at ourFontanalocation!

Whatyou'lldo

The role involves providing technical support acrossa wide range ofsystems, including workstation maintenance, software installation, troubleshooting,printers, mobile devices, networking equipment security cameras,and user training.You will be part of a team that supports IT systems Nationwide acrossall ofour locations. You will serve as thehands-on-the-groundtechnician at this siteassistingwith tickets when physical access isrequired. In addition, you may engage in technical projectswith guidance from our System Admins for server and infrastructure repairs and upgrades.Every day will be a little different,but day to day you could expectto:

  • Handle and resolvea variety of user questions and issues dailywhile providing excellent customer service

  • Utilize our ticketing system, Spice Works, and input detailed documentation on troubleshooting efforts

  • Assistthe current team withPC, Hardware and Mobile deviceDeploymentsupgrades and repairs.

  • Follow checklists to set upnew users,issue permissions and group memberships in Active Directoryand interface with a wide range of security products and software installations.

  • Contact and meet with users and vendors as needed to resolve issues

  • Perform Recurring tasks to help ensure device and facility compliance with regulatory programs such as CMMC

  • Travel to our San Diego facility as needed, including occasional overnight stays of 1-2 days during the workweek; company vehicle provided

  • Help with other department projects as assigned

What you need to thrive in this role

  • High school diploma or GEDrequired; 2-year college degree preferred

  • 1+ yearsof IT Help Desk experience working with an active directory in a business setting

  • Thorough attention to detailandfollow-upskills to ensure user concerns are addressedefficiently

  • Knowledge ofMicrosoftOffice packages and different operating systemsandthe ability to learn new softwareand web interfacesquickly

  • Valid driver's licenserequired

  • Strong troubleshooting abilities

  • Ability to self-start, be eager to learn new things,and provide friendly customer service to users
