28 Days On 14 Days Off Rotation information

What should I expect regarding work-life balance in a 28 days on, 14 days off rotation schedule?

A 28 days on, 14 days off rotation involves working on-site for four continuous weeks, followed by two weeks of leave. While this schedule can be demanding due to extended periods away from home and long working hours, it offers substantial uninterrupted time off for rest, travel, or personal commitments. This rotation is common in industries like oil and gas, mining, and offshore work, and team environments typically foster strong camaraderie and support given the time spent together. Successful candidates are usually adaptable and resilient, able to manage both the intensive work periods and the extended downtime effectively.

What does a 28 days on 14 days off rotation mean?

A 28 days on 14 days off rotation refers to a work schedule commonly used in industries like oil and gas, mining, or remote operations. Employees work for 28 consecutive days, often living on-site, followed by 14 consecutive days off where they can return home or take personal time. This type of shift schedule allows for extended periods of work balanced by substantial time off, which can be appealing for those seeking longer breaks between work periods. However, it can also be demanding due to the length of time spent away from home and family.
