Job description

Position Summary:

The Senior Manager, Quality Assurance is responsible for ensuring the quality and compliance
of repair documentation and field execution for capital projects adheres to Company standards.
This role serves as a bridge between design standards and construction reality, providing critical
input on quality control processes and reviewing plans for waterproofing, acoustic, and
accessibility so that they meet the Owner's quality expectations. The Sr. Manager provides
strategic construction site overview to verify QA standards are met and helps drive continuous
improvement into future project standards. This position plays a key role in helping mitigate
construction risk and ensuring the longevity of capital assets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provides training to direct reports or other internal teams on QA systems and "Lean"ย principles to ensure consistent application of standards.
  • Collaborates with the Director, Quality Assurance by providing input on the development
    and maintenance of quality control processes, checklists, and workflows.
  • Conducts reviews of plans and specifications by utilizing Bluebeam markups to support
    coordination between Architect(s) of Record (AOR) and Engineer(s) of Record (EOR)
    with waterproofing, acoustic, and ADA/accessibility.
  • Reviews Request for Information (RFI) responses for compliance with current project QA
    standards and conducts periodic reviews throughout construction to monitor that building
    repairs meet Owner expectations and QA standards.
  • Monitors the Quality Assurance activities of the AOR and EOR by verifying that all
    consultant reports and deliverables are accurately maintained within the QA system.
  • Interfaces with the General Contractor's designated Quality Control representative to
    monitor compliance with QA standards and resolve all open issues.
  • Leads post-completion reviews to drive future improvements and support the
    management of the QA technology platform.
Additional Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of building envelope waterproofing systems, current building codes,
    acoustic systems, and wood frame/concrete construction.
  • Advanced proficiency in Bluebeam and the ability to interpret complex plans,
    specifications, and technical documents.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, with the ability to provide clear technical
    feedback to project teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple project reviews simultaneously with high attention to detail.
Preferred Education:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Engineering or Construction Management.
  • Certified Construction Manager (CCM) certification.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
Preferred Years of Relevant Work Experience:
  • 7-10 years' experience in multi-family construction.
  • Demonstrated experience managing managers and individual contributors.
Additional Requirements:
  • OSHA 30 certification required.
  • Valid California driver's license; Maintain continuous vehicle liability insurance as
    required by state law. (This role requires the regular and frequent operation of a vehicle,
    as defined in the Company's MVR policy, and is part of the essential duties of this
    position.).
  • Occasional travel required.

ย Compensation:

Base Pay Range:ย $109,600.00 -ย $170,400.00

Actual placement within this range may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location.
