Associate marketing managers work with marketing managers to develop a promotional campaign and strategy for their organization or a client. You analyze customer and marketing research and develop creative ways to drive brand growth. You may be responsible for online shopping marketing where you use the best marketing practices and optimization of product listing and selection. You manage marketing sales, assets, and reporting, and also oversee project budgets. Based on your research, you coordinate creative teams and establish customer relationships. You are also responsible for hiring and training new team members.
To become an associate marketing manager, you must have a bachelor’s degree in marketing or business and some experience in marketing. Most associate marketing managers start in an entry-level position in the marketing department and work their way up to a manager role. In addition to education and experience, you must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills. You must have analytical and research skills, as well as attention to detail and the ability to present and speak in public.
